Today I received a 15 page letter inviting me to become a circular distributor with “Magic Kids, Inc.” It was signed by an Isaac Mizrahi. The very first page of the letter says:
“You pay me NOTHING, owe me NOTHING, UNLESS I make you money. Period!”
So, I wasted some time reading the letter. Well, wouldn’t you know it, on the last page they require a “good faith deposit of just $147″ in order to become a distributor. They just LIED on the first page of their letter where they clearly state that I owe them NOTHING UNLESS I make money. Then on Page 14, more B.S.:
“You end up paying $147 ONLY if and after you make money!” What a crock!! They clearly require that I pay them $147 BEFORE I can earn even a penny from them, assuming that’s even possible!
“I actually GUARANTEE your success, with my ‘no strings’ pledge to return your entire $147 ‘good faith’ deposit IF YOU FAIL to make money”. And, I guess I’m actually suppose to believe their worthless ‘pledge’ to return my $147 if I don’t make money??!!
It’s surprising how many people lose money in these scams. I am way to skeptical to be defrauded by these crooks. I’m very suspicious from the begining. I might read their crap just for a few laughs. These con artists know that millions of people are struggling financially and are looking for the magic formula to work at self employment. Wake up folks, there’s no get rich formulas to be had.

Wordpress update
March 31st, 2008 · No Comments · Current
Two days ago Wordpress released an update to version 2.5
This is a culmination of six months work by numerous code gurus, and much anticipated by many, except me. I am going to maintain my wait and see attitude, and let others jump on the “update bandwagon”. Hopefully, in a week or two, any bugs and/or quirks will come to light and be addressed. In the mean time, I’ll stick with what works. Your thoughts…..?

Privacy Policy Plugin for Wordpress
March 25th, 2008 · No Comments · Current
Last month, Google started requiring AdSense publishers to display a privacy policy on all sites that displayed AdSense ads or search boxes. Since many WordPress blogs are monetized with AdSense, I found a plugin that would automate the creation of an AdSense-compliant privacy policy for WordPress users.
Requirements are a self-hosted WordPress blog, version 2.0 or higher.(Not wordpress.com or blogger blogs) You don’t actually need to be displaying AdSense ads, but the privacy policy is generic enough to be used with most sites.
Installation is pretty simple, as are most WordPress plugins. Download the privacy-policy-1.0.zip file and extract its contents into your blog’s wp-content/plugins folder. This will create a new privacy-policy subfolder containing the plugin. (The plugin doesn’t actually need to be in its own subfolder, but it’s recommended you place it there.) Go to the Plugins tab in your WordPress administration console and activate the plugin.
Once the plugin has been activated, go to the Options tag and click on Privacy Policy. Defaults will be selected for the privacy policy, but you can change them as you see fit, and press the Update Options button to store the new settings. Now create the privacy policy page for your site. The easiest way to do this is to press the Create Page button at the bottom of Manage–>Page section of the dashboard. This creates a static page with the given title and slug (path) that displays a privacy policy based on your current settings.
Many thanks to Eric Giguere at http://www.synclastic.com for this excellent plugin!
