Magic Kids

April 2nd, 2008 · 4 Comments · Current

Today I received a 15 page letter inviting me to become a circular distributor with “Magic Kids, Inc.” It was signed by an Isaac Mizrahi. The very first page of the letter says:
“You pay me NOTHING, owe me NOTHING, UNLESS I make you money. Period!”
So, I wasted some time reading the letter. Well, wouldn’t you know it, on the last page they require a “good faith deposit of just $147″ in order to become a distributor. They just LIED on the first page of their letter where they clearly state that I owe them NOTHING UNLESS I make money. Then on Page 14, more B.S.:
“You end up paying $147 ONLY if and after you make money!” What a crock!! They clearly require that I pay them $147 BEFORE I can earn even a penny from them, assuming that’s even possible!
“I actually GUARANTEE your success, with my ‘no strings’ pledge to return your entire $147 ‘good faith’ deposit IF YOU FAIL to make money”. And, I guess I’m actually suppose to believe their worthless ‘pledge’ to return my $147 if I don’t make money??!!
It’s surprising how many people lose money in these scams. I am way to skeptical to be defrauded by these crooks. I’m very suspicious from the begining. I might read their crap just for a few laughs. These con artists know that millions of people are struggling financially and are looking for the magic formula to work at self employment. Wake up folks, there’s no get rich formulas to be had.

I too have just recieved the mailing that you are refering to I looked through it and found the same lie that you are upset about. I wish that someting like that really worked. Wishing won’t make it so. I would like to find some one that offers an opportunity that requires a great deal of work without a gaurantee. That kind of thing wouldn’t get people to sendmoney in. I think that the only way people like Isaac Mizrahi make money is off of the payments sent in to buy the distributerships.I hope that people read this blog and refrani from participating in the con.

I have received a 15 page letter from Magic Kids, Inc today. They said the same thing to me, but I had to pay $107. I thought it was strange that I had to pay a different amount than you. I refused to do it and ripped up the letter.

I received the same letter. In my experience this is unique in that it came through the mail and is therefore subject to mail fraud charges if it is a scam.
Also of interest is that my “good faith” deposit is only $89 and will be refunded if I do not make at lease $3,000 within 60 days.

Received my 15-page letter today and thanks to sites like this I will not be making the mistake of getting ripped-off. I am continually amazed at how “companies” like Magic Kids continue to do business and apparently are not suffering any consequences from cheating people. Also, I have noticed that generally the rebuttals I have read have numerous misspelled words and read as though the writer is not well-versed in the English language. Makes me wonder if the same person (obviously associated with Magic Kids) is submitting these responses.
